Day of Enrichment: Carrie Workman Photography hosts a few industry gurus!

On Tuesday we had the joy of hosting an event for photographer’s in the area.  It was so neat having a bunch of local photographer’s all in one room.  We started the event out by enjoying a very tasty catered meal from Season’s Harvest Market.  Then, we had the opportunity to listen to a couple of vendors.  Brandon Machacek of Xealot Design started out by speaking with the group about graphic design and gave some suggestions on how to improve our print pieces.  Catherine Price shared with us some of her positive experiences through local and national photography organizations. Chris Santi from Collages was a wealth of information about new products and online hosting.  It was nice to be able to touch, feel, and see their products first hand.  Our frame rep was also present to show us a beautiful new line of Vintage Frames that are just AMAZING! I know that moms everywhere will FLIP when they see these!!! Jonathan Zajas from Zajas Design wrapped up the event by telling us “what works” for a photography website, and how we can make the most of this business tool.

Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come over to my house and share new ideas; it was a very enjoyable and informative day!  We are excited to make this a semi-annual event!  If you are a professional photographer, please let us know if you would be interested in attending similar events in the future.  info@carrieworkman.com The more the merrier!

Go Chris! :-)

Thank you to COLLAGES.NET for lunch provided by Season’s Harvest! YUMMY!!

It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones, too!

Here is Jonathan Zajas sharing with us some enlightening information he’s gained during his 10 years in the web designing business!

At the end of the day, I decided that wanted to get Fenimore’s arrangement in some water so that it would last and look pretty around the house.. Only THEN to realize it was NOT REAL!!! Dwight Richardson of Fenimore’s is such a talented floral designer!

And here are some of those frames I was telling you about…. soooooo pretty… I’m re-framing my whole office/studio soon and will post pictures to let you see! So check back!
